Day 1: Arrival in Haridwar
The journey begins with arrival in the holy city of Haridwar, located on the banks of the sacred Ganges River. Haridwar is one of the seven holiest cities in Hinduism and a major pilgrimage destination. Pilgrims often visit the famous Har Ki Pauri ghat to attend the evening Ganga Aarti, where hundreds of lamps are offered to the river while priests chant sacred mantras.
This spiritual ceremony creates a deeply peaceful atmosphere and marks the beginning of the Chardham pilgrimage. After the Aarti, travelers return to their hotel for an overnight stay in Haridwar.
Day 2: Haridwar to Barkot
After breakfast, the journey continues toward Barkot, a scenic hill town located near Yamunotri. The drive passes through picturesque valleys, forests, and small mountain villages. Travelers can enjoy spectacular views of rivers and the Himalayan landscape along the way.
Barkot serves as the base camp for visiting Yamunotri Temple. After arriving in Barkot, travelers check into their hotel and relax for the evening.

Day 3: Barkot – Yamunotri – Barkot
Early in the morning, pilgrims drive to Janki Chatti, which is the starting point of the trek to Yamunotri Temple. From here, travelers walk approximately 6 kilometers to reach the temple dedicated to Goddess Yamuna.
Near the temple, pilgrims can see the famous Surya Kund, a natural hot spring where devotees cook rice and potatoes as offerings to the goddess. After offering prayers and enjoying the peaceful surroundings, travelers trek back to Janki Chatti and return to Barkot.

Day 4: Barkot to Uttarkashi
On the fourth day, the journey continues toward Uttarkashi, a sacred town located along the banks of the Bhagirathi River. Uttarkashi is an important religious center and is home to several ancient temples.
Pilgrims usually visit the famous Kashi Vishwanath Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva. The town also offers stunning views of the surrounding mountains and forests. After temple visits and local sightseeing, travelers spend the night in Uttarkashi.
Day 5: Uttarkashi – Gangotri – Uttarkashi
Early morning departure for Gangotri Temple, which is located about 100 kilometers from Uttarkashi. The drive follows the Bhagirathi River and passes through beautiful mountain scenery.
Gangotri Temple marks the sacred origin of the River Ganga. According to Hindu mythology, the goddess Ganga descended to earth at this location. Pilgrims offer prayers, take holy dips in the river, and enjoy the spiritual atmosphere.
After the temple visit, travelers return to Uttarkashi for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 6: Uttarkashi to Guptkashi
The sixth day involves a long but scenic drive to Guptkashi, an important town for Kedarnath pilgrims. The journey passes through mountain valleys, rivers, and charming villages.
Guptkashi is known for its temples and religious significance. Travelers can visit the ancient Vishwanath Temple and enjoy the peaceful Himalayan environment. The town also offers magnificent views of snow-covered peaks.

Day 7: Guptkashi – Kedarnath
On this day, pilgrims travel to Gaurikund, the starting point for the Kedarnath trek. From here, a trek of approximately 16–18 kilometers leads to Kedarnath Temple.
The trek route passes through breathtaking mountain scenery, waterfalls, and forests. Pilgrims who cannot walk can choose pony rides, palki services, or helicopter options.
Kedarnath Temple is one of the most sacred shrines dedicated to Lord Shiva and is also one of the twelve Jyotirlingas. After reaching the temple, pilgrims perform prayers and attend the evening Aarti.

Day 8: Kedarnath – Guptkashi
Early morning darshan at Kedarnath Temple is one of the most memorable experiences of the pilgrimage. Devotees offer prayers and seek blessings from Lord Shiva.
After the temple visit, pilgrims trek back to Gaurikund and drive to Guptkashi for rest and overnight stay.
Day 9: Guptkashi – Badrinath
The journey continues to Badrinath, the final shrine of the Chardham circuit. The drive passes through Joshimath, a beautiful mountain town with spiritual importance.
Badrinath Temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu and is one of the most important pilgrimage sites in India. Pilgrims also visit nearby attractions such as Tapt Kund, a natural hot spring, and Mana Village, the last village before the Indo-Tibetan border.
Evening Aarti at Badrinath Temple is a deeply spiritual experience.

Day 10: Badrinath – Rishikesh / Haridwar
On the final day, pilgrims return to Rishikesh or Haridwar. The journey passes through beautiful mountain roads and river valleys. After reaching the destination, the Chardham Yatra concludes with unforgettable memories and spiritual fulfillment.
